The circus animals spend a painful life in captivity – in isolation from their kin, they are kept in narrow cages or chained and are transported for thousands of kilometers by truck. Wild animals are subject to violent training sessions, including the use of whips, hooks, electric shock, as well as starvation and thirst. Such circus in the audience, especially children, creates misconceptions about animals and their natural behavior, turning them into mere objects of entertainment.
Sign the petition to urge the responsible authorities to put an end to the use of animals in circus performances in Latvia!
